This web site is sponsored and maintained by New Hampshire Area 43,
District 12 of Alcoholics Anonymous. District 12 is made up of
the AA groups in the towns of Bedford, Goffstown, Hooksett, New Boston
and the City of Manchester, New Hampshire.
AA districts allow groups within the district to consolidate resources
in order to better perform AA's primary purpose, which is to reach out
to the alcoholic who still suffers.
The District Assembly meets on the third Sunday of each month, from 6PM
to 8PM at St. Raphael's Church on Ferry St on the west side of
Manchester.
AA's Preamble describes what we are all about:
A.A.
PREAMBLE©
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their
experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their
common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are selfsupporting
through our own contributions.
A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization
or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither
endorses nor
opposes any causes.
Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to
achieve sobriety.
